Romilda Vane is a 2nd year at this point in the story and wouldn't be able to go.

Seeing how incompotent the organizers were in choosing the hostages, would you trust them with their safety?

i would not use the movie as a refrence to make a comparison to the book because this movie is the point where the movies and the books diverge to the point where they were only veguely the same story

that movie implyed buxbutons as an all girl school and dermstang as an all boys school when all 3 schools were co ed in the book both boys and girls were spicificaly mentioned in each school

then the movie got to the first task and they had the dragon act like it could care less about its eggs and as soon as it saw harry it broke its chains and chased him when in the book the dragon was not even chained down there was no need cause it cared about nothing more then protecting its eggs harry had to taunt it to get it to chase him

the movie also implyed that the boys dress robes were all black and they looked like robes atempting to copy a what we know as formalwhere when the books had dress robes in many diffrent colors and that book spcifcaly mentions how little wizards understand of muggle fasion that there attempts to dress as a muggle are interprited as anything they can find in a muggle store is ok so its obvious that the 2 types of formalwhere are not going to even be similar

at that point i almost got up and walked out of the theator the only thing that stoped me was that i was in the middle of the row and i did not want to diturbe all the outher people that were watching the movie but as far as im concerned that movie was just some bad fanfiction with a huge budget and i did not even bother to watch the later movies

i can understand not beaing able to imagin what dress robes or really any robes look like in there world because all the discriptions are verry vegue but what ever any way i like your story but it just that movie just pissed me off and i descided that after the 3rd movie the books and the movie are telling compleatly diffrent storys

Very good story.

Thank you for writing.

I'm not sure how I missed this story before -- it was masterfully written, as all of your other stories have been, and I especially liked the subtle changes you introduced, which really completely alter the details of this story (as it relates to Harry & Hermione, of course). Looking forward to reading the Order of the Phoenix re-do next!

It would be nice if Hermione and Harry and Sirius took the time to actually consider that Harry's health was of only nominal concern to Bumbles and that the story was everything. It would be nice if they had told Poppy about Harry having been Crucioed many time and Bumble NOT telling her. It would be nice if some of the actors began to actually tell the world about Bumble's many and huge failures. I really hope they get the hell out of Britain, but the sequel's title implies that they fail, as so many stories fail to actually get Harry some safety.

I would think that if Sirius knew anything about the Dursleys and the way the treated Harry, he would kill them and take Harry away, since there is no sign in canon that justice serves any part of the magical or muggle world.

I could see them in "Pride and Prejudice" type robe-gowns.

Of course, the movies were totally noncanonical about clothing and almost everything else.

Another interesting chapter, I like the tighter focus on character events. Nice work!

T he sad part about keeping a love affair secrret is that the idividuals involved don't get a lot of support from their firends when there is a problem. I sure just sitting there was driving everyone a little crazy and Hermone who has the most active mind at Hogwarts must be almost out of her mind with worry. Expecially when she saw Victor and Fleur brought out of the maze injured and unconscious. Seeing things happen that made no sense at the time; like Moody staring into the maze with his magical eye an then looking very pleased was not in order with things that happened after that. I'm really glad Hermione stayed with Harry when he went to the headmaster's office. It helped Harry and Hermione got to hear the story first hand and Harry didn't have to repeat. it. I'm so glad that Sirius stayed and helped Harry and Hermione to be together that night. I'm amazed that Ron was really helpful this time. He thought of the cloak and that solved all their problems. I'm glad Hermone and Victor will be pen pals. I really like the fact that Harry doesn't mind. That is a very secure boyfirend she has. It was great the way she told Harry and by demonstration, her parents, That she loved Harry and he returned the feeling. I look forward to how Vernon took that little tidbit. Thanks for writing. I look forward to more of this story under the new story name. pms

This is great. I love the differences you made with the second task. The outcome was much more realistic. I love the part where Hermione commands Cedric to cast the bubblehead charm on her and then she dives in in little more than her underwear. I especially glad that Harry recognized that she was cold and cast a warming charm on her. At least he was dressed much warmer when he had to deal with the task. I especially like the fact that they used muggle means to outfit Harry for this task but Neville was able to tell them about the gillyweed. The points you allotted the champions made sense to me. I always had an idea Cedric's score for the second task didn't quite add up. Especially with Karkaroff in the mix. It was great when Harry told off the headmaster and the other judges about who he was supposed to save and how he was supposed to know which one was his. I like the fact that Hermione captured Rita again and then gave her to Sirius. That was an excellent idea. The fact that Harry and Hermione are keeping their true relationship secret for now is probably a good idea. Thanks for writing. I look forward to more of this story. pms

I enjoyed this very much, it's an interesting take on Sirius. Looking forward to your sequel when you can.

Thanks for writing and sharing this, it finished out the holiday quite nicely.

This is a great alternative to the Yule Ball. I like the way Ginny kept Harry from dwelling on the negative about this ball. The dancing lessons that Hermione gave them worked out well. I'm glad Harry took Ginny. He handled it well but he just isn't ready for a girl friend right now. Thanks for writing. I'm really enjoying this story. pms

I really like the proactive Sirius making suggestions and plans to help Harry survive. In the books for the most part he just followed orders and reacted to circumstances and that never did seem to fit his character. I look forward to seeing who accompanies them on their next adventures. This is a very entertaining "What If" and I look forward to exploring the next section.

Another great alternative to canon with well written and realistic characterizations.

Well done so far, as expected :-)

Since i read all your story's i know your exellent style.

Also the differentiated explanations of the differences to the books

and the sillyness of some of the scenes in the books' are also eye-opening.

Thanks for this new story!

Thanks for an interesting story. I'm glad to see Harry showing an interest in Hermione.

He was a real prat toward her in the books.

I know they say opposites attract, but, I can't see Harry marrying Ginny or Hermione marrying Ron.

For that matter I can’t see Luna marrying Ron either.

I can see Ron marrying Lavander or Romilda or even both.

Anyway, thanks for the excellent beginning. Keep up the good work.
