Notebooks and Letters, originally posted on fanfiction.net in 2007 and 2008, is the last of my three novel-length Harry Potter fanfiction stories. Coming in at about 300,000 words, it is a retelling of the last three books of the series.

The premise is that Hermione kept a series of journals documenting her years at Hogwarts, and sold these to a book publisher, who then forwarded them to JKR (the unnamed author in the story) to use as source material for the story that she had already started writing. While the first 4 books stuck very close to Hermione's notes, the tale began to diverge with Book 5, eventually becoming quite different from what 'really happened'.

The challenge in writing this was to come up with a different plot, but one with enough common elements that it can readily be seen how it was 'adapted' by JK to create the published version.

The mechanism for telling this story is that Hermione first reads the books to her daughter Rose, then gets out her old notebooks and a collection of letters to reveal to her what actually occurred. The story finishes by coming back to the current time, tying the two tales together with (eventually) a happy ending.

Original Summary - The 'true' version of Books 5, 6, and 7, as told by Hermione to her daughter years later, using her old journals and letters between her and Harry.

Hermione's Plan is my second novel length fanfic, and based on the numbers, appears to be my most popular story. Like my first story, Soul Searching/End Game, it is a hypothetical Book 7, beginning immediately upon the conclusion of Half Blood Prince. One notable distinction is that is told almost exclusively from Hermione's point of view rather than Harry's. It was completed less than a month prior to the release of JKR's Book 7, Deathly Hallows. (So nothing that was revealed in that book is reflected in this story.)

Original Summary: The shock of Dumbledore’s death plus some unexpected news cause Hermione to reflect on her decisions and actions of the previous year. She resolves to do what she should have done in the first place. Unabashedly Harry/Hermione.

Soul Searching is my first Harry Potter fanfic, written right after Half Blood Prince came out. It begins immediately following HBP and goes through the summer. Besides searching for Horcruxes, the focus is on the relationship between Harry and Hermione. They are the main characters, but it's not necessarily a romantic relationship. The Harry/Ginny romance continues in the background.

The sequel, End Game, continues the tale through the trio's 7th year and the final battle with Voldemort. The relationship focus continues. Harry must deal with the problem of having two girls in love with him and the realization that he has feelings for both of them. Ultimately, it could end any one of three ways - H/G, H/Hr, or H/Both.

The two parts were originally posted separately, but I'm combining them here, since together they comprise one complete story.
