Book six was awkward, pointlessly long and in my opinion finished changing the tone and pace of the series. Further after Harry actually grew a pair of balls at the end of book 5 he once again regressed in book six.
Actually after reading your A/N i realized Harry grew to be a more one-dimensional character as the series wore on. I always realized i didn't like the series after book 4 as much but besides for big glaring plot holes i could never really decide why. Harry becomes an incredibly flat character in the later books and unfortunately a lot of fanfics mimic that. Glad you're doing something completely different.

This is really good. I love all the questions that Hermione came up with about Dumbledore and his motives. I'm glad Harry has thought about those things too. It does make us all wonder just what Dumbledore was thinking all along. Thanks for writing and I look forward to the next chapter. pms
