This is an excellent change for the OOTP. I really like the fact that Harry doesn't trust Dumbledore and he leaves the country with the Grangers. That is excellent. I really liked the fact that Hermione's Parents are so understanding about the new relationship betweem Harry and Hermione. It is excellent that the Delacoures are welcoming them to their phone. Thanks for writing. I look forward to more of this story. pms

A nice alternate chapter starting point, I like the focus of the story being a little wider than some of the others that I've perused.

quite good to see a sirius who actually does something for his godson
as for the shopping trip, as you said, it's necessary. at most, in this situation, you could have slid over it while mentionning it happened. and at least you spared us the 'harry buys half the inventory of the diagon alley shops' cliche ^^
