I'm not sure how I missed this story before -- it was masterfully written, as all of your other stories have been, and I especially liked the subtle changes you introduced, which really completely alter the details of this story (as it relates to Harry & Hermione, of course). Looking forward to reading the Order of the Phoenix re-do next!

It would be nice if Hermione and Harry and Sirius took the time to actually consider that Harry's health was of only nominal concern to Bumbles and that the story was everything. It would be nice if they had told Poppy about Harry having been Crucioed many time and Bumble NOT telling her. It would be nice if some of the actors began to actually tell the world about Bumble's many and huge failures. I really hope they get the hell out of Britain, but the sequel's title implies that they fail, as so many stories fail to actually get Harry some safety.

I would think that if Sirius knew anything about the Dursleys and the way the treated Harry, he would kill them and take Harry away, since there is no sign in canon that justice serves any part of the magical or muggle world.

T he sad part about keeping a love affair secrret is that the idividuals involved don't get a lot of support from their firends when there is a problem. I sure just sitting there was driving everyone a little crazy and Hermone who has the most active mind at Hogwarts must be almost out of her mind with worry. Expecially when she saw Victor and Fleur brought out of the maze injured and unconscious. Seeing things happen that made no sense at the time; like Moody staring into the maze with his magical eye an then looking very pleased was not in order with things that happened after that. I'm really glad Hermione stayed with Harry when he went to the headmaster's office. It helped Harry and Hermione got to hear the story first hand and Harry didn't have to repeat. it. I'm so glad that Sirius stayed and helped Harry and Hermione to be together that night. I'm amazed that Ron was really helpful this time. He thought of the cloak and that solved all their problems. I'm glad Hermone and Victor will be pen pals. I really like the fact that Harry doesn't mind. That is a very secure boyfirend she has. It was great the way she told Harry and by demonstration, her parents, That she loved Harry and he returned the feeling. I look forward to how Vernon took that little tidbit. Thanks for writing. This is great. I love the differences you made with the second task. The outcome was much more realistic. I love the part where Hermione commands Cedric to cast the bubblehead charm on her and then she dives in in little more than her underwear. I especially glad that Harry recognized that she was cold and cast a warming charm on her. At least he was dressed much warmer when he had to deal with the task. I especially like the fact that they used muggle means to outfit Harry for this task but Neville was able to tell them about the gillyweed. The points you allotted the champions made sense to me. I always had an idea Cedric's score for the second task didn't quite add up. Especially with Karkaroff in the mix. It was great when Harry told off the headmaster and the other judges about who he was supposed to save and how he was supposed to know which one was his. I like the fact that Hermione captured Rita again and then gave her to Sirius. That was an excellent idea. The fact that Harry and Hermione are keeping their true relationship secret for now is probably a good idea. Thanks for writing. I look forward to more of this story. pms

I really like the proactive Sirius making suggestions and plans to help Harry survive. In the books for the most part he just followed orders and reacted to circumstances and that never did seem to fit his character. I look forward to seeing who accompanies them on their next adventures. This is a very entertaining "What If" and I look forward to exploring the next section.
